The mission of the Shelby Hills Neighborhood Association is to promote a sense of community and well-being in our neighborhood through fellowship, communication, and volunteerism.

2011
July: A group of neighbors talk about starting a group
August: Neighborhood canvassing and first outreach event
September: Organizing committee meets for first time
October: Mission statement created based on neighbor survey results
November: Official logo chosen from neighborhood vote
December: Neighborhood Watch text alert system established
2012
January: Broken street light audit reported to Metro
February: Second canvassing and first street clean up
April: www.shelbyhills.org is launched
May: Second Pocket Park Social
August: Bylaws approved by vote of neighbors
September: Officers elected
